presents the second generation of machines for Grestream technology for producing new ranges of porcelain stoneware in large sizes and with innovative designs.
The new system for forming porcelain stoneware tiles in large sizes and with high-added-value aesthetic solutions uses the age-old method of forming in the plastic state as an alternative to the more traditional pressing method.

Grestream is installed downstream from the mix preparation system. The strength of this technology lies in the great potential of the plastic support in terms o decoration and surface applications.

The simplification of the plant, competitive consumptions, as well as the possibility to drastically reduce decoration and glazing costs, mean that the Grestream technology is capable of producing high-end pieces with high added-value and at extremely competitive costs compared to traditional technology for technical porcelain stoneware. The extreme versatility and flexibility of this technology enable several ranges of products to be obtained using a single line, thus creating one general purpose line rather than specific lines for wall tiles, floors and porcelain stoneware - a single solution for all types, all sizes (up to a maximum of 1200x2400 mm) and all thicknesses (minimum 6 mm - maximum 30 mm, suitable for bathroom and kitchen tops).

Continuing the evolution of Grestream technology, the SITI B&T Group Research Centre has also created a new product as an accessory to the basic line which offers unique and inimitable features and characteristics.

In the same way as for the other products, the starting point is a panel of large-sized extruded material which is decorated both dry and wet and then structured. You then move simply and effectively on to cutting, which takes place by means of a honeycomb frame applied to the end of the line.

By doing so, you obtain a real mosaic which boasts a minimum size of 10x10 mm and retains the graphic design obtained through decoration. This is the motivation behind the special attention devoted to handling the pieces until they exit the kiln, a process designed in such a way that each individual piece remains in its original position. It is therefore a genuine revolution of this product technology which, unlike current production techniques, does not use scoring or fired processing which make production problematic and expensive and, not least, have a negative effect on the natural quality of the product.

You can thus obtain single pieces, decorated and structured at a high production rate while staying in line with the current demands of the market. In fact, you can reach productions of mosaic of up to 5000 m2/day with the chemical/physical properties of porcelain stoneware, while the unique and inimitable graphic design obtained through decoration remains unchanged.
